Is the software free?
Autodesk gives education licences; SolidWorks has education and trial options; every course names what it needs.
Do I need a licence for SolidWorks or Fusion 360?
Fusion 360 has a free personal licence and SolidWorks a free-for-makers edition and student trials; every exercise in the courses runs in those.
