Career support for automation learners

Career support is part of the Professional Module. It helps you prepare your CV, applications and interviews, but it is not a job guarantee and we do not place you with employers or take fees from you.

  • A public engineer profile employers can find, if you opt in

Your resume session is part of the course. The CPD certificate itself is issued when you pass the final theory assessment and your practical project is approved.

Trainee and junior roles pay less. On Reed, 135 trainee PLC jobs were listed as of 21 October 2026, and the pay examples were £25,000–£30,000 for graduate and trainee roles, £30,000–£40,000 for junior controls/PLC engineers.
