Siemens and Allen-Bradley Module terms
These terms apply when you buy the self-paced Siemens Module or Allen-Bradley Module. They sit alongside our general terms and conditions; where the two differ for these courses, these terms apply. Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Last updated 23 October 2026
1. Who we are
The courses are provided by Wartens Ltd, trading as EDWartens UK, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15262249), registered office 8 Lyon Road, Milton Keynes MK1 1EX. VAT number GB 473020522. Contact us at info@wartens.com or +44 333 33 98 394.
2. What you buy
A self-paced online course in the EDWartens UK student portal, with no live classes. The Siemens Module has 69 lessons and the Allen-Bradley Module has 68, each in 13 modules. Each course includes:
- recorded lessons, each with notes, a practice quiz and a task in the EDWartens Lab;
- a gate test at the end of each module and a final exam;
- four graded projects, including a capstone;
- four job simulators, with the Premium edition and its certificate, for the roles listed on the course page;
- the UK job board, with job alerts and an application tracker;
- questions to a trainer from any lesson; and
- a certificate of completion, when you qualify for it (section 8).
Lesson videos stream from their creators' YouTube channels. The study plan, notes, quizzes, tests, lab tasks, projects and grading are ours. If a video is removed, we replace it with one that teaches the same thing.
What these courses are not. They are independent of Siemens AG and Rockwell Automation, Inc. and are not official courses of either. You practise in the EDWartens Lab in your browser, which is not TIA Portal or Studio 5000; real vendor software licences are not included. The courses are not regulated qualifications and are not CPD-accredited.
3. Access
- Your access lasts 12 months from the day you pay. Every lesson is open from that day; gate tests are taken in order.
- Your account is for you alone. Sharing your sign-in, or copying course material for others, may lead to your access being suspended.
- When access ends you can still see your results and download any certificate you have earned.
- The job simulators included with your course follow the access terms shown with each simulation.
4. Price and payment
Each course costs £650 plus VAT, £780 in total, paid in full when you enrol. There is no deposit or instalment plan. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see your card details. A VAT-registered employer can ask for a VAT invoice before enrolling.
5. Your right to cancel
As a consumer you can cancel within 14 days from the day we confirm your booking by email, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Because the lessons are digital content that opens as soon as you pay, at checkout you ask us to give you access straight away and acknowledge what that means for this right:
- If you cancel within 14 days and have not opened any lesson, we refund everything you have paid.
- Once you have opened a lesson, your right to cancel the digital content ends, as you agreed at checkout.
- To cancel, use Services in your portal, email info@wartens.com, or use the model form on our cancellations and refunds page. We refund within 14 days of your request, to the card you paid with.
After the 14 days we do not normally refund, but this does not affect your rights if the course is not as described or we fail to provide what is included (section 11).
6. Extensions
If you need longer than 12 months, ask from Services in your portal. We tell you the options and the price before you pay anything.
7. Tests and projects
- Each module's gate test opens when you have completed that module's lessons and passed the previous test. Limits on attempts and waiting times are shown on each test.
- Projects are marked against a published rubric. The first pass is AI-assisted marking; our staff review it and can change the result. 70 out of 100 passes a project and 75 passes the capstone. A project that does not pass comes back with feedback on what to change.
- Your work must be your own. Work copied from someone else, or produced with AI tools without your own understanding of it, may be failed.
8. The certificate
When you have passed every module gate test, the final exam and all four projects, we issue a certificate of completion from Wartens Ltd with a number and a QR code that links to its verification page. It is not a regulated or accredited qualification, it is not a Siemens or Rockwell Automation certification and it does not carry academic credit.
9. Jobs and career support
The job board, alerts, tracker and job-readiness module help you prepare for applications. We do not promise a job, an interview or any level of pay.
10. Changes to the course
We keep the courses up to date, so lessons, videos and tools may change during your access. We will not reduce what is included in section 2. If a change would make a real difference to you, we tell you first, and you may cancel for a refund for the access you have not used.
11. If something goes wrong
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the digital content must be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, and our services must be provided with reasonable care and skill. If they are not, tell us through our complaints procedure and we will put it right, or refund you where the law says we should.
12. Trademarks
Siemens, SIMATIC, TIA Portal, WinCC and SINAMICS are trademarks of Siemens AG. Allen-Bradley, Rockwell Automation, Studio 5000, Logix, FactoryTalk, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, GuardLogix and PowerFlex are trademarks of Rockwell Automation, Inc. EDWartens is independent and not affiliated with them.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
